Thank you to all of you who took a shot at guessing my favorite characters in a list of random fandoms of mine! Everyone got at least a couple right, with Stacey and Stacey M having the most correct answers.

1. Fushigi Yuugi - Hotohori

Not very difficult to guess if anyone has heard me talk about the series. He was my favorite for a number of reasons, not limited to the fact that he was the first anime character that I was told was considered a 'bishounen.' His arrogance was the amusing sort, and while he seemed aloof and self centered in the beginning, his true loyalty to his country and his friends shines later in the series. And lastly, he's voiced by my favorite Japanese voice actor.

2. Death Note - L

C'mon, who doesn't love L? He's hilarious.

3. Fruits Basket - Honda Tohru

Her character is such a genuinely nice person, completely altruistic. She's motivated, friendly, and happy. I strive to be more like her. (I was amused that everyone who guessed picked Kyo. Granted, I like cats and I like his voice actor, but if I were to chose a second favorite, it would actually be Shigure.)

4. J-Rock - Hyde

It's really close between Hyde and Gackt, but I think I still prefer Hyde. His talent shows in all of the different types of music he can do, both solo and with the band, though really, the same goes for Gackt. Plus, neither are bad at acting.

5. Resident Evil (the games) - Leon Kennedy

He's got some of the cheesiest lines I've ever heard from a video game character, but he's a good guy. Of course, at first, it was all about the hair.

6. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Carth Onasi

One of my new favorite video game voice actors ever does the voice of this incredibly kind character. Yeah, I hated him at first because he was whiny and seemed so negative, but he grew on me. In KoTOR you really get to see his character open up, going from an untrusting, closed up war hero to a caring friend, willing to trust Revan with his life.

7. Star Wars (movies) - Obi-Wan Kenobi

No, not because he's played by Ewan McGregor! Really, I didn't start to like Kenobi so much until after I started reading the books. Mostly what I admire about him is how steadfastly he holds to the Jedi code. I sort of compare being a Jedi to being a Christian (hard to explain, so please don't take it completely literally!), and it amazes me to see how much faith Kenobi has in the Force and the Jedi masters and how much he is willing to sacrifice to remain obedient and true to his 'faith'.

8. Metal Gear Solid - Solid Snake

Snake. Is. Awesome. Otacon comes in second place.

9. Card Captor Sakura - Sakura

I like Sakura for much the same reasons as I like Tohru.

10. DiscWorld series by Terry Pratchett - Lord Vetinari

Vetinari is hilarious in a subtle way. The lines that stick in my head most: "Don't let me keep you." "Are you achieving success?" He's really my favorite type of villain, even though he isn't really one.

11. Valdemar related books by Mercedes Lackey - Vanyel

Really? Do I have to explain? You have to hate him in the first book. He's horrible, spoiled, whiny. But then he grows up to be completely self-sacrificing in every way.

12. SeaQuest DSV - Lucas

There's no other reason for a 15 year old female to watch a series about undersea exploration in a submarine than Jonathan Brandis, is there? I love that show even now because it's cool, but he was my favorite character when it first came out. If I'd started watching it now, I think Captain Bridger would have been my favorite.

13. Robin Hood (Which Robin was my favorite?) Animated Fox Robin Hood.

I think everyone who guessed this one guessed correctly. I had such a crush on that fox! ^^;

14. Halo 3 - The Arbiter

Elites are just freakin' cool. ^^ I was surprised and pleased when this was guessed right!

15. Final Fantasy 8 - Laguna

Completely clueless but you had to like him anyway because he was such a good guy. Mind you, I've never gotten through all of the final disc in the game, though.

16. Invader Zim - GIR

America loves GIR! GIR is adorable and so very funny. ^^

17. X-Men - Gambit

As I explained to Nick, he had an awesome accent in the old cartoon and he was usually pretty witty. I don't know him from the comics and didn't like him as much in Evolution.

18. Cold Fire Trilogy by C. S. Friedman - Gerald Terrant

One of my favorite written characters EVER. My StaRPG character is entirely based upon his personality - cold, arrogant, and beautiful. But somewhere, deep down, you question if he's really all that bad.

19. Star Trek Next Gen - Wesley Crusher

Just like with SeaQuest and Jonathan Brandis, my sis and I used to watch the show with our dad, watching the opening credits with crossed fingers just hoping to see that Wil Wheaton was in the episode. Oh we'd still watch it if he wasn't, but it wouldn't be the same. If I'd started watching later in life, my favorite probably would have been Data or LaForge.
Side note: Q was actually a really good guess! I think he was probably my favorite recurring enemy.

20. Sweeney Todd - Mrs. Lovette

Alright, so Todd is cool, composed, arrogant, and everything that this thing would have you believe I'd love in a character, and I do! But Mrs. Lovette is such a unique woman. Twisted and evil, but you'd never really blame her for it. And she's so darkly funny!

Darnit! I was going to guess Laguna, but mostly because of Seth if you know what I mean. >_< My guess other than Kyo would have been Shigure because he is cool. Apparently, if you read the manga he has much darker undertones.

I thought about Vetinari, but he almost never appears outside of the Watch-centric books and I wasn't sure how many of those ones you had read.

Still, I got two, which is far more than I had expected.

I was impressed by the ones you got right! And I also agreed that picking Death from Discworld would be too easy. Death of Rats is pretty far up there in my list of favs. Really, the only guess you made that was far off was Darth Maul.

I don't know about Leon having the cheesiest dialog, Dante in DMC3 would give him a run for his money on that one ;P, but Leon defiantly has the emo hair factor going for him.

Oh Vanyel, how I hated you. I admit though that I never actually read beyond the first book because I hated him soooooooo much. I spent the whole book going, "Are you dead yet? Dang it, you're not dead! Die! Die! Die!" I should probably give those books another chance and just skip the first one in the series. Everyone I know loves them.

You are Very right about Dante. I Hated him when I first started watching DMC3 cutscenes, knowing nothing about the series except that I wanted to see the cutscenes. Though, now that I've seen 4 and 1, I think I might like 3 a little bit better. But c'mon, Leon literally gives the equivalant of "I know you are but what am I?"

You definitely should give the Last Herald Mage trilogy another shot. He gets better, I promise!

Total props for Vanyel. I loved that series and I still hold a special place in my heart for that trilogy especially.
